Green Dal/ Palak Dal

Green dal mainey meri bhabhi (Rakhi bhabhi) se seekhi hai

Waise ye dal palak ki hi dal hai bas bananey ka tareeka thoda different hai

Here goes the recipe

Ingredients

Moong dal (yellow)- 1 katori

Palak- 1 bundle/ 2 cup

Green chillies- 3-4

Ghee

Make a smooth paste:-

Ginger- 2″

Garlic- 7-8 cloves (as per your taste)

Onion- 1 large (optional)

Masala

Salt to taste

Haldi- 1/4 tsp

Lal mirch powder- 1 tsp

Amchur- 1 tsp

Jeera- 1 tsp

Hing- 1/4 tsp

Laung- elaichi- 2-2

Tez patta- 2

Garam masala- 3/4 tsp

Method

Moong dal ko acche se dhoo kar 1/2 hour ke liye bheega de

Ab ise cooker may dale sath hi pani, namak aur haldi dalkar cooker band kar de aur 2 siti lagaye (agar aapko dal khili khili matlab danedar chahiye toh 1 siti de)

Jab cooker ka pressure khul jaye tab dal ko ache se mix karke mash kar le

Palak ko acche se wash karke boil kar le (pattey le danthal na le)

Jab boil ho jaye toh chankar pani nikal de

Ab ismay hari mirch milakar smooth paste bana le

Kadai may ghee garam kare aur jeera dale

Jab jeera seek jaye tab hing, tez patta, laung aur elaichi dale

Ab pyaz wala paste dalkar kuch der seke

Jab pyaz light golden colour ka ho jaye tab garam masala add kar de

Ghee chorney tak bhune ab lal mirch dal kar kuch seconds seke aur palak wala paste dale

Jab palak acche se seek jaye aur oil separate hone lage tab ismay amchur aur dal dalkar ache se mix kare

Jaroorat ho toh pani add kare

2-4 ubal de kar utar le

Garam garam phulkey ke sath dal ka maza le

Note:

Serve karte time thoda nimboo ras dalkar serve kare

Aap amchur ki jagah tamatar bhi dal saktey hai par isse dal ka colour thoda phikha ho jayega
