Moong Chilla

Moong Chilla with a stuffing of cottage cheese and carrot. Accompanied with Schezwan Chutney 


Mera aur meri family ka favourite breakfast 😀😀😀

Moong dal khaaney may bahut hi light hoti hai aur iska chilla bhi khaaney may bahut hi swad hota hai 😀😀

Here goes the recipe 


Moong dal (yellow)- 1 glass

Salt to taste

Cottage cheese (paneer)- 250 gms (grated)

Carrot- 1 small (grated)

Coriander- finely chopped



Wash and soak moong dal for 3-4 hours or overnight

Drain and make a smooth paste adding little amount of water

Transfer it in a bowl and add salt to taste and make a pouring consistency batter (you can add chopped coriander in batter if you like)

Grate carrot, cottage cheese

In a bowl mix carrot, coriander and cottage cheese (use can add salt if you need)

Heat non stick griddle

Take a spoon fill of moong batter and spread it in round shape

Add little oil in sides if needed

When one side is done flip it and cook the other side (when sides turns red its done)

Now again flip it and spread stuffing over it

Roll it and cut it (you can also serve it without cutting)
Goes well with green chutney/ Schezwan Chutney/ lal mirchi ki chutney


You can a handful of chana dal alog with moong dal (when soaking) to make chilla more crispy
