Upma


Upma is one of the most popular tiffin or breakfast from South Indian Cuisine.

It is made up of rava/ suji

It is a quick preparation using common ingredients, and so it can be made very easily.

Here goes the recipe 

Ingredients 

Suji- 1 katori (30 seconds microwave ki hui)

Pyaz- 1 big (bareek kata hua)

Matar- 1/2 katori boil kiya hua

Dalia/ dali hui chana dal- 2- 3 tsp

(Dali hui chana dal na ho toh chana dal ko sek le aur 2-4 min soak kar le)

Curry patta-3-4

Hari mirch- 1-2 bareek kati hui

Kadhi lal mirch-1-2

Namak

Nimboo- 1/2

Rai/ sarso

Oil

Method 

Kadai may oil garam kare aur rai dale tab tadakne lage tab curry patta, hari mirch aur khadi lal mirch dale

Ab pyaz, dalia, matar dale aur kam aanch pe bich bich may chalate hue pakaye jab tak pyaz gulabi na ho jaye (you can also add capsicum)

Ab ismay 4 katori pani dale aur garam hone de

Ab dheere dheere seki hui suji dale aur lagatar chalate rahe nahi toh lumps aa jayege


Ab ismay namak aur mimboo ras dale
Chalate rahe jab tak upma ka pani khatam na ho jaye

Bareek kata hara dhaniya se garnish kare
