Gulabosa (samosa in rose pattern)


Samosa is a famous tea time snacks across all over India. It can be fried or baked with different stuffings like potato, peas, noodles etc.  Typically it is triangle in shape but for a change I have tried a different pattern ie. Rose shape and the outcome was awesome and yes beautiful too 😀😀

So here I’m sharing my rose pattern samosa whose name is given by my dear husband “Gulabosa”

Here goes the recipe:-

Ingredients:-

For filling:-

Boiled & mashed potatoes -5-6

Boiled peas ( matar)- 1/4 cup

Oil

Salt

Black pepper- as per taste

Amchur- 1/2 tsp

Garm masala- 1/2 tsp

Red chilli pwd – optional

Make a paste of- 4-5 cloves( लौंग), 1″cinnamon (दाल्चीनि), 2-3 green chillies, 1-2″ ginger

Method:-

Kadai may oil garm kare usmay dalchini- laung wala paste mix kare aur ek do min seke. Usmay ab boiled potatoes add kare aur ache se mix kare. Ab matar add kare. Ab namak, garam masala, mirch pwd, amchur sab add karke ache se mix karle do teen min sek kar utar le. Filling ready.

For Samosa cover:-

Maida- 250 grams

Oil/ghee- 50- gms

Salt

Method:-

Maida may namak aur ghee melt karke mix karle aur pani milakar halka kada aata laga le.

Now give shape and stuff it (see picture given below)

For Green leaves:-

Samosa ka cover ka jo aata lagaye usi ko green colour karna hai. Jab aata guthay toh pani may thoda sa food green colour mila le aur usi se aata lagaye.

Ab jab khana ho tab ise fry kare aur garma garam serve kare. Agar filling talte time bahar nikalne lage toh usmay thoda sa cornflour ko pani may ghool kar is paste ko upar laga de. — feeling happy.
