Matar Paneer

Matar Paneer is a delicious combination of paneer and green peas in a tomato based gravy. It is often served with roties (Indian breads) and rice. Today I’m sharing a very simple recipe for the same.

Here is the recipe:-


Onion- 2 medium

Garlic- 2-3 cloves (optional)

Adrakh- 2″

Hari mirch- 2

Tamatar- 2 medium (pisa hua/ paste)

Paneer-250 gms (cut into cubes)

Matar -1/2 cup(boiled)

Malai- 1 tbsp



Lal mirch powder- 1 tsp

Haldi- 1/2 tsp

Kitchen king masala- 2 tsp

Garam masala- 1/2 tsp


Paneer ko garam oil may fry karke sidha pani may dal lo.

Make a paste of onion, garlic, green chilies and ginger.

Kadai may oil garam kijiye usmay pyaz ka paste dal kar seke.

Jab pyaz sik jaye tab pisa hua tamatar mila de. Aur oil chorne tak seke.

Ab ek bowl may sare sukhe masala (garam masala aur namak chor kar) dale thoda sa pani dale mix karke kadai may dale may mila de.

Jab masala sik jaye tab matar aur paneer dale sath hi thoda aur pani dale. Malai dalkar mix kare aur kuch der dhak kar pakaye.

Garam masala aur namak  mila de aur kuch der dhak kar pakakar utar le.

Serve with roties and rice.
